Realizing that our community is growing with the addition of immigrants from India and Philippines, we work to help individuals and families from these countries navigate the complex world of U.S. immigration and naturalization. Contact us to learn more about our services.
Immigration for Citizens of India
Our office works very closely with immigrants from India to assist them in processing visas at the various consulates in India. Our office focuses on serving the Indian community in Solano, Yolo, Napa and Sonoma counties.
We are familiar with issues related to the absence of birth certificates for older family members, especially from rural areas of India. We routinely assist clients in preparing affidavits of birth and gathering other collateral documents that support claimed family relationships.
By having our office coordinate with the National Visa Center for the payment of filing fees and the production of documents, we can save clients time and money in processing their cases. We work with the National Visa Center, supplying original family documents, completed application forms and a viable affidavit of support package from a qualified United States financial sponsor. We make sure these submissions are complete to expedite the scheduling of the immigrant visas for relatives living in India.
We can also help clients with applications for adjustment of status of family members residing in the United States who want to change their status based on marriage or approved employment based visas.
Immigration for Citizens of the Philippines
Our office has a long standing relationship with the Filipino immigrant community in Solano County. For nearly fifteen years, we have been assisting clients by working with the United States Embassy in Manila.
We routinely review documents from the National Statistics Office in Manila to assist clients in accurately documenting name changes and proving family relationships. The submission of consistent family documentation is a key factor in processing immigrant visas for family members from the Philippines. We are familiar with the issues that frequently arise regarding the validity of marriages and divorces. Since Filipinos are frequently unable to obtain a divorce in the Philippines, issues regarding the validity of a divorce obtained from an outside jurisdiction need to be carefully evaluated. Related to this issue are the questions that arise for adopted and step children. Our office has the working knowledge to address these special concerns.
We are very familiar with employment based visas for Filipinos, particularly visas for those working in the health industry. We have completed employment based visas for hospice care, nursing assistants in convalescent homes, and registered nurses in medical offices and hospitals.
